Our story

With a streamlined organisational structure, Benchmark’s projects are delivered with the input of an executive team with 50+ years of combined industry experience, ensuring design excellence and the highest quality end product.

Benchmark is built on the reputation of its employees and follows the values of discipline, respect and integrity.

2012 – RBG Services Group Founded

In 2012 RBG Services Group was founded with a mission to deliver high end commercial fit out projects to key commercial clients. Since inception the company grew rapidly and delivered award winning projects in NSW, QLD and VIC for clients such as SCECGS Redlands, St. Aloysius, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW and Brickworks.

2014 – Portfolio Acquisitions

In 2014, the business acquired a portfolio of underperforming land and commercial assets which were all managed in-house with the common objective to strategically improve the assets to unlock their value. Throughout this process several joint ventures were established with key partners with complimentary skill sets.

2016 – Shifted Core Focus

In 2016, the business began its shift away from 3rd party construction contracts to the development as the projects matured and began to trade. It is through this transition that property development became the focus.

In addition to the development business, a local sales agency and an offshore marketing channel in Singapore were setup in 2018 to expand and diversify market reach. The ability to self-perform sales has enabled Benchmark to become a ‘one stop shop’ for property development.

2021 – New Acquisitions

In 2021, the team’s investment into each project materialised, with all assets in the portfolio being sold. These sales provided the capital for Benchmark’s next round of acquisitions.

Benchmark has now diversified its land holdings in both NSW & QLD with new projects in various stages of the planning process. In addition, Benchmark has entered the private lending space, as well as working with various landowners to unlock development potential.

Joint Ventures and Landowner partnerships have become the main focus of the development business, creating win/win opportunities and a sustainable positive business practice
